Viega expands sizing options for press fittings

Viega’s MegaPressG press fittings are now available for carbon steel pipe up to 4 in. Three new fitting sizes – for 2.5-in., 3-in. and 4-in. pipe – were introduced at AHR Expo 2020. The new fittings join the current MegaPressG offerings of 0.5-in. to 2-in. fittings approved for use in gas and fuel oil applications. Constructed of carbon steel with a corrosion-resistant zinc nickel coating and graphite separator ring in larger sizes, MegaPressG is suitable for use with ASTM Schedule 5 to Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe. Configurations include elbows, couplings, no-stop couplings, reducers, tees, reducing tees, adapters, reducing adapters, caps and flanges. MegaPressG fittings are also equipped with Viega Smart Connect technology, which allows installers to identify unpressed connections during pressure testing.
