Virginia landscape contractor invests in propane mowers

U.S. Lawns, a landscape contractor with outlets across the United States, converted 16 gas lawn mowers to propane at its Newport News, Va., location with the help of John Deere dealer East Coast Equipment. Papco Inc., an energy supplier, is leasing 72 mower cylinders and cabinets to U.S. Lawns, as well as providing the landscape contractor with fuel.

Upon converting the fleet, U.S. Lawns hosted a field day for employees that included safety training from Papco. Papco General Manager Peter Ryan conducted four 30-minute sessions of propane training.
