WLPGA appoints director of projects, business practices

David Tyler has been appointed director, projects and business practices, for the World LP Gas Association (WLPGA).

His primary role will be to lead the association’s activities in the area of good practices in the industry. In addition, he will further consolidate the World LP Gas Association’s programs on innovation and drive the global autogas initiative. This will include working closely with industry members on the Global Technology Network and Global Autogas Industry Network committees. He will also be responsible for the Asian/Pacific membership group.

Tyler brings a deep knowledge and experience of the propane industry on a global scale after working 25 years with Shell International in senior marketing management positions, including commercial director in Indonesia.

In 1996, Tyler established his own propane consultancy business in Australia and since then has successfully undertaken strategic projects in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Australia.

He has lived and worked in many countries, including the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Australia, Hong Kong and China, reinforcing the global dimension at WLPGA.
