About 80 companies exhibited at the 28th World LPG Forum from Sept. 28-Oct. 2 in Singapore.

The Women in LPG (WINLPG) Global Network, which formed in June, met for the first time during the two-day event. Chaired by Nikki Brown, managing director of Cavagna Group, the network discussed its priorities within the WLPGA.

Additionally, the Global Technology Conference (GTC) allowed companies to showcase new propane-related technologies. WLPGA says 10 papers were presented at this year’s GTC.

During the GTC, the association awarded Mark Walls of the Southwest Research Institute with the 2015 WLPGA Innovation award for his paper on direct liquid propane injection on modern GDI engines that he presented at last year’s GTC of the World LPG Forum. Anne Feudner of Kohler Power Systems, who presented her paper on the application of propane to the mobile rental generator market, was runner-up.

The association adds it plans to award one of the presenters from this year’s GTC at the 2016 World LPG Forum & 2016 AEGPL Congress in Istanbul, Turkey.
