DOT cylinder requalification rule to impact propane marketers
Set to take effect Jan. 23, a new Department of Transportation (DOT) rule will reduce the initial requalification period for DOT cylinders from 12 years to 10 years from the date of manufacture. Here's how the National Propane Gas Association and Propane Education & Research Council are responding.

Lower heating demand, crop drying drop 2015 propane sales
After consecutive gains in 2013 and 2014, annual U.S. sales of odorized propane fell 9.6 percent to 8.5 billion gallons in 2015, according to the American Petroleum Institute’s latest Sales of Natural Gas Liquids and Liquefied Refinery Gases report, dated Dec. 9, 2016.
