Amthor International expands in Virginia, plans to add jobs

March 2, 2012 By

Amthor International, manufacturer of truck-mounted tanks, is building an 8,000-square-foot addition to its plant in Gretna, Va., that will allow the company to add a minimum of 50 new production jobs over the coming months, Vice President Brian Amthor announced. The economic development announcement represents an investment of $500,000 and is the result of increasing worldwide demand for tank mountings in the refined fuel, vacuum, propane and mining markets, the company said. The expansion will allow the company to increase capacity in its first and second shifts.
