Bergquist names second tank monitor sales specialist

February 2, 2017 By

With increasing demand for tank monitor technology, Bergquist Inc. appointed Matt Brock as a tank monitor sales specialist to keep up with customer demand.

Bergquist says it began seeing an increase in sales of the Gaslog remote cellular tank monitors from Silicon Controls in 2016. More than 200,000 Gaslog tank monitors are currently in service. The technology allows for improved delivery efficiency and reduced propane run-outs.

Bergquist shifted Brock to the position to complement a previous hire in 2015, Mike Vigliotti. Brock previously served the company as an area sales manager in Texas.

“Mike Vigliotti has done a tremendous job getting us started down this road,” says Bruce Montroy, senior vice president of sales at Bergquist. “Sales have increased more than 36 percent year to year. The volume of interest has been so great that we wanted to invest in what our customers need by adding another member to this segment of the team. We expect further advancements in technology in the propane industry, and we are ready to embrace these changes as we remain committed to customer service and experience.”

The two specialists are responsible for providing service and training for Gaslog and other telemetry monitors. Brock will focus his efforts on customers in the southern and western United States, while Vigliotti will remain the main contact for the northern and eastern part of the country.
