The Canadian Propane Association’s (CPA) board of directors appointed Nathalie St-Pierre as its president and CEO.

St-Pierre previously served as vice president of sustainability and the executive director for Quebec at the Retail Council of Canada since 2011. She is also a member of the Quebec Bar Association and a member of the School of Community and Public Affairs at Concordia University, according to CPA.

St-Pierre will replace Andrea Labelle, executive director at CPA, in this new role. Labelle has helped the association to grow the last four years, CPA says, and she plans to assist St-Pierre in her transition as president and CEO.

“Nathalie brings over 20 years of experience and a proven track record of strong leadership and organizational development,” says Guy Marchand, board chair at CPA. “Her knowledge of the energy sector and extensive experience in government relations and communications make Nathalie uniquely qualified to lead the CPA successfully into the future.

“Nathalie will be key in ensuring the propane industry’s needs and goals continue to be reached as we move forward to expand the CPA’s strategic role, increase its profile at all levels of government and further promote the vital role the propane industry plays in Canada’s energy sector.”
