Medical certificate requirement extended for commercial drivers

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is extending a requirement by one year that interstate commercial driver’s license holders retain paper copies of their medical examiner’s certificate and continue to make the document available for review upon request at roadsides by federal and state commercial motor vehicle inspectors. The requirement is being extended to Jan. 30, 2015.
