Tank Utility partners with Generac Power Systems

August 30, 2016 By

Tank monitoring company Tank Utility has partnered with Generac Power Systems, a manufacturer of backup power generation products.

Tank Utility provides remote tank monitoring services that allow homeowners and business owners to monitor propane tank levels through a website and app.

The company says it closed on $2.2 million in seed funding. Energy Foundry and Blue Fog Capital helped with the funding, with participation from Generac and Bolt.

According to Tank Utility, the funding helped to form a strategic partnership with Generac.

“Tank Utility’s fuel level monitoring services are a perfect fit for our customers,” says Aaron Jagdfeld, CEO of Generac. “With accurate visibility into exactly how much propane is left and the ability to notify fuel distributors before the generator runs out, we can be even more proactive in helping our customers make sure the lights stay on.”

Tank Utility launched in 2014, and it serves customers in 46 states and Canada.
