Please describe your role and responsibility, as well as your vision, in growing your company and connecting with propane customers of today: I cover our district locations west of the Rocky Mountains, including Alaska and Hawaii. I work daily to support our district office employees and sales team with their growth efforts and customer service tactics. I wholeheartedly believe in empowering local employees to win the hearts and minds of our customers and being vested within the communities that we serve. My daily goal is to serve our district employees so that they can serve our customers.

Propane industry opportunities and threats: Multiple applications outside of our standard residential and commercial use. Also diversifying propane to be viewed as a fuel for more than just grilling your steak. … Government regulations and state policies, as well as conservation, continue to be challenging for marketers.

How then can the propane industry prosper in the coming years? Continue to capitalize on additional opportunities for the use of propane, first and foremost. The recruitment and training of quality personnel, bringing new energy and ideas to the workplace, along with working together as an industry to promote and support the use of propane over other fuel sources.

What does your generation offer to the propane industry that previous generations did not? New and fresh perspective is always encouraging. We’re in an age where advertising and marketing are in high demand, and this is a change from how marketers handled their businesses even a few short years ago. The digital platform is the future of all businesses, propane not to be the exception.

What technologies are you using (or plan to use) to support business operations? We have migrated to many online sources for all aspects of business – from recruiting, marketing and community outreach, to name a few.
