Alliance AutoGas completed a live conversion of a 2018 F-750 6.8-liter V10 bobtail owned by Conger LP Gas of Tifton, Georgia, at the 2018 NPGA Southeastern Convention & International Expo in Atlanta.

The conversion was completed in 1 hour and 50 minutes by two Alliance AutoGas technicians, which, the company says, is a record time for this vehicle class and system. The plug and play vehicle-specific system aided the technicians to complete the conversion in record time, Alliance AutoGas says.

“With each new platform that we develop, these conversions get easier to install,” says Stephen Holland, director of engineering for Blossman Services Inc. and installation technician. “We are always adding new features to our systems to simplify installation and service. This concept was thoroughly tested at this event since we were also interacting with the audience throughout the whole process and everything came out great.”

The company adds the systems are bi-fuel, with both propane autogas and gasoline tanks, decreasing range anxiety for drivers.

“We were truly honored to be asked to provide Conger’s newest bobtail for the conversion, and to be a part of this event,” says Dan Richardson, CEO of Conger LP Gas. “Autogas is something we believe in, and also practice with other vehicles on our fleet. We were extremely excited about the audience turnout. The amount of people who came to witness the conversion is surely a testament to the number of companies interested in converting their own fleet vehicles to autogas.”

The converted bobtail was upfitted by Scarbary’s Propane Equipment of Montezuma, Georgia, onto Ford’s updated chassis, the company explains.

“We are proud to make this simple to install and maintain,” says Ed Hoffman, president of Blossman Services, of the autogas system. “Each and every marketer can support their business with their own fuel.”
