CHS participates in Minnesota propane safety demonstrations

September 8, 2011 By

Nearly 100 propane marketers, firefighters, hazmat trainers, law enforcers and towing professionals learned crucial rules for safely and effectively handling propane emergencies at a two-day Industry Responders’ Conference in White Bear Lake, Minn.

“We had great participation. I think everyone took away something to help them respond to incidents involving leaking and/or burning propane,” says Bryan Lewis, manager of propane risk management for CHS and an organizer of the event.

The event was held at Century College and hosted by the Minnesota Propane Association in conjunction with the Propane Education & Research Council. Sheehan’s Gas of Bird Island, Minn., provided propane and a propane autogas-powered bobtail to aid in the demonstrations.
