PROPANE MARKET METRICS

Winter Fuels Outlook, 2021-22: The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects energy expenditures to increase for all heating fuels this winter, primarily driven by higher prices. EIA forecasts households will spend $631 (54 percent) more on average for propane this winter compared to last winter. Given relatively low inventory levels heading into winter, weather will be a key determinant of propane market outcomes and consumer expenditures this winter, says EIA.
