Delta Liquid Energy names second fourth-generation employee

November 8, 2016 By

Delta Liquid Energy, a propane retailer based in Paso Robles, California, appointed Tricia Gordon to serve in its accounting department.

According to the company, the position is Gordon’s first in the propane industry. She previously worked as an investigator for Honolulu’s medical examiner.

Gordon is the great-granddaughter of Delta Liquid Energy’s founders, Harry and Iva Platz. According to the company, Gordon is the second fourth-generation employee to join the company. Her cousin, Allison Platz, also joined the family business as a fourth-generation employee this year. William Platz, Gordon’s uncle, and Cindy Belmont, Gordon’s mother, currently lead Delta Liquid Energy.

In addition, Gordon joined the Women in Propane Council during the National Propane Gas Association’s fall board meeting. In April 2017, she will also partake in the business council’s Knowledge Exchange mentoring program as a mentee to learn skills needed to be a leader in the propane industry.

“My mom has been a huge inspiration,” she says. “She has come a long way in an industry that is predominantly male. My goal and hope is to continue our family legacy in the industry by staying up on my education and training so that we may keep delivering quality service to customers.”
