Existing Energy Guys collateral allowed in 2011

January 11, 2011 By

The Energy Guys will continue to show their faces in the propane industry in 2011 under a new agreement between the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) and the actors who portray Propane and Electricity. Propane marketers can continue using Energy Guys collateral through the end of 2011 under the agreement between PERC and Dan Warner, the actor who portrays Propane, and John Hemphill, the actor who portrays Electricity, the council announced. PERC phased out the Energy Guys campaign at the national level and stopped using Energy Guys images on Dec. 31, 2010. Under PERC’s new agreement with Warner and Hemphill, propane companies may not produce any new collateral using the Energy Guys images in 2011 and beyond. They must also stop using all Energy Guys images after Dec. 31, 2011, PERC said.
