South Shore Clean Cities Inc., a nonprofit that promotes clean fuels in northern Indiana, will host an educational event on propane autogas Aug. 19 at the Gary/Chicago International Airport in Gary, Ind.

Event attendees can join educational forums led by fleet managers and current autogas users. The forums will focus on propane applications, including the maintenance, infrastructure, safety and training, government regulations, tax incentives, return on investment, air quality and funding of these applications.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ride and drive autogas-fueled vehicles. The event will showcase various autogas-fueled vehicles, along with propane lawnmowers and equipment. Reservations for the event can be made by visiting the nonprofit’s website.
