Know the tankless water heater misconceptions

Rinnai, a Georgia-based water heater manufacturer, is providing education on the common misconceptions surrounding tankless water heaters. Here are eight tankless water heater misconceptions:

  1. Tankless is more expensive to maintain than tanks.
  2. Tankless doesn’t work with cold inlet temperatures.
  3. Tankless is a new, unproven technology.
  4. Tankless water heaters are expensive to purchase and expensive to install.
  5. Tankless water heaters are slow to respond quickly to high demand.
  6. Stainless steel heat exchangers are better.
  7. Tankless means upgrading your gas line.
  8. Venting is too expensive on tankless water heaters.
