MFA Oil marks first acquisition of fiscal year

September 27, 2016 By

MFA Oil Co. has acquired Ozark County LP Gas Co. Inc., a propane retailer with offices in Gainesville, Missouri, and Mountain Home, Arkansas.

“The acquisition of Ozark County LP fills a market void in our southern Missouri territory and builds on our growing presence in Arkansas,” says Jon Ihler, MFA Oil vice president of sales and marketing.

Ozark County LP Gas Co. has primarily served the propane needs of residential customers in south-central Missouri and north-central Arkansas for more than 50 years.

“Johnna Morgan and her family have built an outstanding business, and we are proud that they have chosen us to carry on their tradition of integrity and service to their customers,” Ihler says. “We will make the transition process as seamless as possible for the customers.”

The deal marks MFA Oil’s first acquisition of its fiscal year, which began Sept. 1. It has acquired 34 companies since the beginning of its 2012 fiscal year. MFA Oil is based in Columbia, Missouri.
