Mopeka Products acquires Sonariot

April 22, 2022 By

Mopeka Products, a provider of sonar tank monitoring technology, signed a definitive agreement to acquire Sonariot. Together, the companies will operate as MopekaIOT.

With capabilities in research, engineering, sales, services and marketing, MopekaIOT will offer differentiated capabilities to enterprises and consumers seeking tank monitoring insights. Its portfolio includes solutions for both pressurized and unpressurized tanks.

“The combination of Mopeka Products and Sonariot gives our customers and partners the same great team of engineering, marketing, sales, service and support professionals, whilst extending our ability to further expand at scale to provide even more innovative solutions,” says Jason Peck, executive partner and vice president of MopekaIOT.

The acquisition of Sonariot brings to the company a growing channel of distribution, with six distributor partnerships announced across North America in the past six months, and a sales, services and marketing arm to strengthen Mopeka’s sonar, mobile and cloud products.

“This is something both organizations have been working towards for some time, and I want to reinforce to our customers and distribution partners that we will be even better placed to assist them,” says Kevin Jaffe, partner and COO of MopekaIOT, previously CEO of Sonariot. “I look forward to the new challenge and to further expanding growth across all regions and territories with our unparalleled capabilities.”

MopekaIOT says its portfolio of sonar, mobile and cloud-based services and products can help all liquid-based firms – including propane, butane, water, anhydrous and other liquid commodities – better manage existing volumes and streamline supply chain management. Solutions range from residential 20-pound grill tanks to industrial tanks greater than 90,000 gallons. The company has brought more than 500,000 tank monitoring sensors to market globally.
