Blue Bird hosts new training course for autogas vehicle technicians
The National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC) developed a Propane Autogas Vehicle Technician Training course for automotive instructors, automotive technicians and fleet managers.
The course, which was funded by the Propane Education & Research Council, debuted at a Blue Bird facility in Fort Valley, Ga. The three-day training course teaches participants how to convert vehicles to run on propane autogas; how to service these vehicles safely; how to diagnose and repair vapor-injected LP gas systems; and how to diagnose and repair liquid propane gas systems.
NAFTC members will be given first access to participate in the three-day course. After the initial training session, the program will be available to automotive instructors nationwide. The next Propane Autogas Vehicle Technician Training session is scheduled for April 12-14 at NAFTC headquarters in Morgantown, W.Va.
