New York energy company deploys 25 propane autogas vehicles

Halco EnergyHalco Energy, a renewable energy company based in upstate New York, is investing $200,000 and utilizing grant funding from the Genesee Region Clean Communities to deploy 25 propane autogas vehicles used to service homeowners with energy installations. The company is powering 16 cargo vans and nine pickups equipped with Roush CleanTech propane autogas fuel systems. It is working to install a 16,000-gallon on-site fueling station and plans to save more than $600,000 in fuel and maintenance expenses over the lifetime of the vehicles. Halco provides solar, geothermal heating and cooling, and home insulation services throughout the Finger Lakes area of New York.
