NPGF 2022 scholarship campaign in full swing

March 31, 2022 By

The National Propane Gas Foundation Scholarship Fund’s (NPGF/SF) Corporate Partners Campaign is forging ahead in 2022, and the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) is urging industry members to show their commitment.

The program helps the children of NPGA member company employees with their higher education goals. All funds raised enhance NPGF’s ability to award scholarships. Since 1994, the NPGF Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to more than 1,400 children of NPGA member company employees, according to the association.

The scholarship fund provides $1,000 or $2,000 scholarships to students attending two- or four-year colleges or pursuing propane-related careers at technical, trade or vocational schools. Last year, the foundation awarded scholarships totaling $136,000 to 101 students. Donations from 2021 also allowed the NPGF to endow a new award with campaign proceeds.

NPGA envisions the 2022 campaign wrapping up by June 1, though it says donations for the scholarship program are always accepted. Donors who contribute at least $4,000 by April 5 will be included on a recognition banner at the Southeastern Convention & International Propane Expo, set for April 24-26 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Access the donation form here. For more information, contact Maril Olson, manager of the Scholarship Foundation, at molson@npga.org or 202-355-1328.

NPGA is the national trade association representing the U.S. propane industry.
