PERC restructures, refines roles of staff members

November 29, 2017 By

The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) has reorganized its staff structure under first-year president and CEO Tucker Perkins.

PERC, which announced the changes in a press release, says the reorganization reflects Perkins’ emphasis on more closely aligning the council with propane marketers and national, state and regional propane organizations.

“The changes we are making are the result of talking with over 100 state executives, suppliers and propane marketers across the country,” Perkins says. “By emphasizing active engagement with end users, influencers and propane marketers, the new structure will improve PERC’s ability to support the industry’s efforts to expand the use of propane.”

PERC eliminated three positions: chief information officer, chief marketing officer, and senior manager of digital and social media.

In addition, many staff members have new roles in the organization:

• Cinch Munson will lead business development as senior vice president and will continue promoting agricultural market development.

• Bridget Kidd will lead industry outreach as senior vice president.

• Michael Eason will lead administration and finance as senior vice president.

• Ingrid Bechard will lead communications strategy as director of market communications.

• Pat Hyland will become director of industry communications and support specific state associations.

• Stuart Flatow, vice president in charge of safety, will report to the president and CEO.

• Jeremy Wishart will be director of off-road business development.

• Jesse Marcus will be director of residential and commercial business development.

• Paula Wilson will lead marketer outreach in her role as director of industry engagement.

“A key change is in the communications effort to support an integrated marketing campaign, led by Ingrid Bechard, Gregg Walker (director of external communications) and Pat Hyland, who will focus on marketer communications,” Perkins adds.

The council met in early November – read our meeting report here – and will next meet Feb. 14, 2018, in Santa Barbara, California.
