PHMSA to host webinars on cylinder safety

The U.S. Department of Transportation‘s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) will host two 30-minute webinars Oct. 21 to discuss propane cylinder safety. PHMSA is hosting the webinars because of a July incident that occurred in Philadelphia involving a propane cylinder on a mobile food truck.

According to PHMSA, the 30-minute webinar sessions will focus on inspecting cylinders for serviceability, identifying out-of-test cylinders and what to do if cylinders are in poor condition or out of test.
