Propane Clean Air Rally and Autogas Parade to open centennial celebration

March 2, 2012 By

The Propane Clean Air Rally and Autogas Parade will kick off the yearlong Propane Centennial Celebration (PCC) on April 14 in Atlanta, preceding the 2012 NPGA Southeastern Convention & International Propane Expo.

The rally will feature vehicle staging, a parade of propane autogas vehicles around Centennial Olympic Park, as well as ride-and-drives, demonstrations and a press conference. The event will showcase a wide range of autogas vehicles – from buses, trucks and cars to forklifts and commercial lawn mowers.

“A Clean Air Rally offers a very visual and impactful way to show customers, the press, government officials and the public the many ways propane is a viable, clean and domestic fuel,” said NPGA President and CEO Rick Roldan in a press release.

Though the event’s most visible component is the autogas vehicle parade, PCC organizers plan to use the Clean Air Rally as a springboard to showcase other new propane technologies in the residential and commercial sectors.

The Expo opens with a reception on the evening of April 14 at the Georgia World Congress Center and runs through April 16.
