Propane engine showcased at Ray Murray open house

A Powertrain Integration Acquisition autogas engine fueling a Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. S2G medium-duty truck was showcased at Ray Murray Inc.‘s open house.

Attendees were able to ride and drive in the S2G truck to get a feel for the 8.0-liter PIthon engine. Powertrain Integration, Freightliner and CleanFuel USA also presented an educational session on the S2G’s technical features at the open house.

Powertrain Integration President Bob Pachla says vocational applications for the S2G chassis have expanded to include flatbed, stake and box truck offerings. He adds that propane bobtail builders and users have embraced the truck, as 20 percent of bobtails on display at industry shows now have an S2G chassis.
