Pumps protect against leakage with mechanical seals

Blackmer released its SGLWD Series sliding vane pumps, which were designed to protect against unforeseen leakage of volatile liquids.

The pumps offer zero leakage thanks to the cartridge type, double radial seal design, the company says. Blackmer adds the pump design offers long life and reliable service in a wide range of high vapor pressure applications.

The pumps feature unique sliding vane designs, improved offloading times and line stripping capabilities. They also boast ductile iron construction with internal relief valves, self-priming and dry run capabilities, and end discs that allow for easy rebuilding of the pumping chamber. The SGLWD Series sliding vane pumps were constructed with symmetrical bearing support that assures even loading and wear for long pump life, Blacker adds.

The pumps come in two options, the SGLWD3 and SGLWD4, and are available with flow capacities from 133 to 270 gpm at working pressures up to 525 psi.
