Roush CleanTech to convert 61 SMART buses to autogas

SMART in southeast Michigan partners with Roush CleanTech to make Connector bus run on propane autogasRoush CleanTech plans to convert 61 Connector buses to propane autogas with the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART) in southeast Michigan. The Connector is a smaller bus that serves senior citizens and people with disabilities.

All SMART vehicles and propane stations were funded by grants. To date, 14 of the 61 vehicles are already in service. According to the company, SMART now has the second-largest autogas-fueled paratransit fleet in Michigan and one of the top five largest in the United States.
