SEPATEC completes training with Blue Ridge Energy
The Southeast Propane Alliance Technical Education Center (SEPATEC) completed an advanced training program in partnership with Blue Ridge Energy.
The program, held at Blue Ridge Energy’s location in Boone, North Carolina, represents a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration, according to SEPATEC.
Blue Ridge Energy took advantage of the educational opportunities provided by SEPATEC, enrolling five employees in spring-term classes to prepare them for their respective roles within the company. Upon completion of the training, employees provided positive feedback about their experience.
Kevin Ward, the district manager and training coordinator at Blue Ridge Energy, expressed his gratitude toward SEPATEC for visiting the company’s facilities and providing beneficial training.
“David [Donahue] and Kenneth [Melton] were outstanding instructors. They were patient with everyone, provided answers to all questions and conducted themselves professionally. I enjoyed getting to know them,” Ward says. “Our employees gave very positive feedback for the classes. I’m already having discussions about future ideas on how we could benefit as a company from [the] program.”
After completing the spring term, Ward contacted SEPATEC to discuss future training opportunities in Boone. In response, SEPATEC scheduled a two-week advanced service technician course for Blue Ridge Energy employees. The program aimed to educate, train and certify 11 employees on CETP 4.1 (Designing and Installing Vapor Distribution Systems) and CETP 4.2 (Placing Vapor Distribution Systems and Appliances into Operation).
The two-week program consisted of daily classes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The training experience aimed to equip the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles at Blue Ridge Energy, SEPATEC says.
“We are thrilled with the success of the advanced training program at Blue Ridge Energy,” says John Peña, director of education at SEPATEC. “The positive feedback received from Kevin Ward and the participating employees reflects the dedication and expertise we bring to every training opportunity.”
