SmartWatt boiler produces heat, electricity

The SmartWatt Boiler SW300-6 by Enviro Power simultaneously produces heat, generates electricity and can serve as backup power. The boiler provides 95 percent heating efficiency with a patented multiple condensing combustion chamber. It comes equipped with an integrated generator. A closed loop, radial, micro steam turbine incorporated to the SW300-6 combustion chamber is designed to generate up to 6 kW of free electricity while heat is produced. The electricity produced can also serve as backup power. The SmartWatt Boiler is eligible for tax credits and rebates through the investment tax credit. The credit can reduce the purchase price by 20 percent to 30 percent, according to Enviro Power.
