Burbeck, raised primarily in Southern California and Portland, Oregon, spent over 25 years in the equipment leasing and financing industry, including with CIT Group, Sterling Bank, TCF Equipment Finance and CNH Capital. He joined VFG in 2009 and spent close to 11 years with the company.

“Robert was loved dearly by his VFG family and friends,” the company shared on its website. “He embodied a spirit of teamwork and service to others. Robert had a zeal for life and loved to win. He never met a stranger, and was always willing to help. He was a bulldog with a heart! We miss his tenacity, spirit and friendship.”

Burbeck was multi-talented and competitively driven during his adult life, according to the company. He had a love for horses and a passion for capturing them on film and video. He and his wife Kenna would start a small production company, specializing in photography and video. They also fulfilled their dream of owning a farm – in Georgia.

More about Burbeck, including photos of him and links to his horse videos, can be found on this VFG webpage.

VFG is a privately held, independent, full-service general equipment leasing and financing company based in Pittsburgh. Fred Summers founded the company in 1991. His son, Bill Summers, now leads it as CEO.
