WESROC promotes propane industry veteran to COO

Boyd McGathey has been named COO of WESROC Monitoring Solutions, an Independent Technologies Inc. company. Hank Smith, president and CEO of Independent Technologies, announced the promotion.

Since joining Independent Technologies Inc. in 2016, McGathey has served as vice president of business development, principally for WESROC Monitoring Solutions. Before joining Independent Technologies, McGathey served as executive vice president and COO at Ferrellgas, the nation’s second-largest retail propane marketer.

“Consistent with WESROC’s long successful and evolving history in the telemetry industry, we will be working to provide a platform for WESROC to expand into the growing IoT market with equipment solutions designed and engineered to explore other communication technologies,” McGathey says. “We will also be developing a broader product line of monitors that will offer a monitoring solution for every need and budget.”

WESROC Monitoring Solutions innovates and develops monitoring solutions for numerous businesses and industries that use tanks of all types, such as propane, fuel oil, anhydrous ammonia, DEF, waste liquids, and is also capable of monitoring temperatures, water detection, pressure, opened gates/doors and 4-20mA switches and relays.
