Wisconsin school district adds 20 propane-powered buses
A Wisconsin school district and its contractor celebrated the purchase of 10 new Blue Bird propane-powered school buses and 10 Micro Bird buses during an open house that attracted local officials.
The Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District near Milwaukee, along with contractor Go Riteway, marked the occasion with a special event that included a fueling demonstration. The demo showed how quickly and easily a school bus can be filled with propane autogas.
The school district’s 78-passenger Blue Bird Vision buses and 30-passenger Micro Bird buses employ Roush CleanTech liquid propane autogas fuel systems and Ford 6.8-liter engines.
