WLPGA plans LPG Week 2021 for Dubai

The World LPG Association (WLPGA) is moving forward with plans to host LPG Week 2021 in Dubai in December.

Last year, the WLPGA ran its first fully virtual event, e-LPG Week, where the industry could still connect with one another despite COVID-19-related travel restrictions. This year, the association expects the industry to finally move from virtual meetings and events back to a major in-person event in Dubai on Dec. 5-9.

“Although today, the idea of attending a conference or a trade show may seem for many of us quite unreal, we are optimistic that we will do this,” the WLPGA announced to the LPG industry in February.

The WLPGA says it is working to organize a safe event, which this year features the theme “Energizing Tomorrow.” The world will meet in Dubai later this year also at the occasion of the canceled Expo 2020, which held the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future,” focusing on the power of collaboration and partnership, the association adds.

The host city of Dubai has emerged as a cosmopolitan metropolis that has grown steadily to become a global city and a business and cultural hub of the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf region, the WLPGA notes.

LPG Week travels the globe annually, bringing together CEOs of major LPG companies, government ministers and representatives of major intergovernmental organizations and media, to explore the LPG business, discuss its growth potential and to forge new business relationships.

The exhibition area is the central point for all LPG Week participants to network and learn, the WLPGA says. The event also provides participants and visitors with the opportunity to see the latest products and services available to the industry.

The WLPGA, established in 1987, serves as the voice of the global LPG industry, representing the full LPG value chain.
