Blue Star Gas helps Oregon sheriff convert 10 patrol cars to autogas

June 3, 2013 By

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Dallas, Ore., is running 10 patrol cars on propane autogas with the help of Blue Star Gas, which provides the Alliance AutoGas vehicle conversion program for West Coast fleets. Auto Additions of Salem performed the bi-fuel vehicle conversions, while Blue Star Gas installed an on-site fuel station and delivers year-round fuel supply. The autogas fleet is composed of seven Ford Crown Victorias, two Chevy Tahoes and one Ford F-350 pickup truck. The fleet expects to save more than $20,000 each year by running propane autogas.
