Greenkraft trucks feature package from Allison Transmission

September 8, 2016 By

Greenkraft Inc., a California-based manufacturer of alternative fuel trucks and alternative fuel systems, now manufactures trucks designed to run with a package from Allison Transmission Holdings.

Greenkraft heavy-duty trucks are used in a variety of industries, the company says. The first line of Greenkraft trucks with Allison systems will be available in classes ranging from 19,500-pound to 26,000-pound gross vehicle weight ratings (GVWRs), as well as other versions Greenkraft has in development for up to 33,000-pound GVWR.

The Allison package will provide a fully automatic transmission for Greenkraft’s clients, according to the company. Additionally, Allison’s automatic transmission option tends to reduce driver fatigue and keep a driver’s attention on the road, the company says.

Greenkraft Inc. designs and manufactures alternative fuel automotive products, including trucks that run on propane and compressed natural gas systems.
