IC Bus establishes grant program for propane-powered buses

IC Bus announced a grant program that will provide school districts with incentives to add propane-powered school buses to their fleets.

The IC Bus Grant Program will offer qualifying school districts in the United States and Canada with $5,000 in grants for every newly purchased propane-powered CE Series school bus. The grant can be used toward buying additional buses, investing in new technology, hiring additional drivers and infrastructure updates to maintenance facilities, the company says.

“School districts frequently stress to us their desire to pursue environmentally friendly fuel choices,” says Trish Reed, vice president and general manager of IC Bus. “The IC Bus Grant Program reaffirms our commitment to continue developing affordable, reliable, safe and environmentally beneficial school bus options.”
