EDP adds central region director of operations
EDP hired Scott Sturdivant as a new region director of operations for the central U.S.
He brings more than 30 years of propane industry experience. Most recently, he served as region vice president for a retailer and was responsible for 23 retail locations and 178 direct reports across three southern states.
Sturdivant brings extensive sales, operations and management experience to EDP. In his previous role, he prepared and implemented a strategic plan credited with improving customer service and reliability. He also managed safety and compliance for his region, including safety and preventive/routine maintenance for a fleet of more than 160 vehicles.
He has been active in the propane gas associations of Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.
“We are extremely pleased to have Scott Sturdivant join our central region in his new role,” says Boyd McGathey, president and COO at EDP. “Scott’s outstanding reputation and extensive experience make him a welcome addition to our leadership team. As Scott joins Paige O’Dell, our new region vice president for the central region, I am confident that – working together – they will have a tremendous impact on our organization.”
O’Dell was hired by EDP in September as a new region vice president for the central U.S.
Chicago-based EDP serves customers across 19 states and ranks ninth in LP Gas’ 2023 Top Propane Retailers rankings for highest gallon sales. CEO Tom Knauff launched EDP in 2012, and the company has completed 35 acquisitions.
