MOPERC names 2023 leadership
The Missouri Propane Education & Research Council (MOPERC) named its 2023 directors and officers. The council installed its new leadership at the group’s winter meeting in Ridgedale, Missouri.
Officers elected were:
- Chair – John Brokes, Big River Oil.
- Vice chair – Tim Peach, Pinnacle Propane.
- Treasurer – Brian Brooks, Brooks Gas.
Three new directors were appointed to three-year terms:
- Derek Poe, Missouri Propane Safety Commission.
- Jessica Booth-Haden, AmeriGas.
- Clayton Uthe, MFA Oil.
Directors continuing on the council are:
- Mitch Dane, Chilton Oil.
- John Fling, GASCO-Ferrellgas.
- Brian Books, Brooks Gas.
- John Brokes, Big River Oil.
- Mark Porth, CHS.
- Kent Metcalf, Queen City Gas.
- Tim Peach, Pinnacle Propane.
- Wayne Terpstra, ThompsonGas
- Samantha Reed-Johnson, Reed Oil.
- Ray Phillips, Growmark Energy.
- Steve Clayton, Gas Equipment Co.
Outgoing members were recognized for their service to the council: Russ Bales, Heritage Propane; Luke Fitzpatrick, MFA Oil and Jeff Reitz, Central States Bus.
Outgoing chair James Greer, MFA Oil, was also recognized for his leadership and will fulfill a partial term as a director..
Steve Ahrens continues to serve as MOPERC president.
MOPERC is a not-for-profit organization authorized by the Missouri legislature to administer a statewide check-off program. Proceeds are used for industry training, consumer safety, appliance rebates and market development programs, MOPERC says. The council is composed of 15 volunteer directors and is administered by executive staff.
