According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the school district purchased the Blue Bird propane buses from Carter Machinery, a Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia and southern West Virginia. The school district’s new autogas buses will replace old diesel buses in its fleet. Additionally, the school district tested two autogas buses in its fleet last year.

Chesterfield County currently has two autogas fueling stations for the area’s propane autogas vehicles. The Richmond Times-Dispatch says the county plans to add a third autogas fueling facility to help service the additional autogas buses.
