Propane retailers and industry partners will have another opportunity to build propane partnerships when they gather Sept. 17-19 at the LP Gas Growth Summit at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Florida.

LP Gas magazine announced the 2024 dates for its ninth annual networking event, which features one-on-one meetings between retailers and partners, educational opportunities and other networking functions.

The Growth Summit launched in 2015 with the goal of bringing retail propane company decision-makers together with industry partners to discuss growth opportunities and ways for retailers to improve their operations and increase efficiencies.

The one-on-one meetings serve as the foundation of the Growth Summit, as retailers and partners follow their respective meeting schedules prepared by LP Gas. Retailers rotate among the resort’s Grande Tower suites to visit with each of the partners. Each meeting lasts 20 minutes.

Nick Quaratiello of PDI Technologies calls himself a veteran of the Growth Summit.

“We just like the overall concept of it,” he says, noting how it’s held later in the year, toward the end of show season. “This is more laid back, more intimate; there’s not a lot of pressure. It’s just nice talking to people. You have a lot of good conversations with people that you might not be able to get during a trade show.”

The opening day of the Growth Summit features “Meet the Partners” presentations and an evening welcome reception and dinner. On the second and full day, retailers begin their private meetings with partners in the morning. A golf outing, a luncheon for non-golfers and a barbecue dinner in the evening round out the day’s events. One-on-one meetings continue on the final day of the Growth Summit. Educational events coincide with breakfast each morning.

The 2023 event drew about 70 total attendees, including more than 20 retail propane companies representing all regions of the U.S. and a then-record number of partners (18).

“We thought it would be a really great fit to meet everybody and learn more,” says Amanda Bohm of Sunrise Propane in Hudson, Florida, who attended last year.

Adds 2023 attendee Eva Wilford of Wilford Propane Gas in Orange Park, Florida, “There were a lot of things we’re not utilizing in the industry, so it was a good way to figure that out.”

Growth Summit partners confirmed so far this year are ADD Systems; Anova; Cargas; Gray, Gray & Gray; IPS; Legacy Energy Consulting; LP Cylinder Service; Metsa; Mopeka; One-Tank; Otodata; P3 Propane SafetyPDI Technologies; Precise Alternative Fleet Solutions; Quality Steel; Rural Computer Consultants; Tiger Payment Solutions; Warm Thoughts Communications; and Westmor.

LP Gas will continue to welcome partners in the coming months, ahead of the late-summer event. Partners interested in attending this year can contact LP Gas Publisher Brian Kanaba at bkanaba@northcoastmedia.net or 216-706-3745.

LP Gas offers propane retailers a complimentary participation package that includes two-nights lodging, meals and golf. LP Gas asks final decision-makers interested in attending the Growth Summit to complete an application. Retailers with questions should contact LP Gas Editor-in-Chief Brian Richesson at brichesson@northcoastmedia.net or 216-706-3748.
